Under the cover of daylight, on a sunny Friday afternoon in December, Lops Brewing was the stage for the 2nd biggest art heist in New England History*. The full story has never been told, until now...
1. The Stakeout
Dressed up as pleasant, well-dressed couple, the master thieves approached the bar to gather intel on Lops security
2. The Grab
The diligent bartender turned their back for a moment and the Toy Soldier Winter Ale label was lifted from its display space
3. The Getaway
With the label secured and tucked away under his jacket, the thieves made their escape
4. The Fallout
Like the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the spot on the wall remains empty
